Raising Tamuk Composite meat rabbits
Wascally Wabbitry breeds pure New Zealand White (NZW) rabbits with a focus on genetic diversity and meat production in hot weather. We mostly sell breeding trios.
What makes Wascally Wabbitry unique is that we breed two different strains of pure New Zealand White rabbits: TAMUK NZW and M70 NZW. Both of these are pure New Zealand White rabbits bred specifically for high efficiency meat production. These two strains have lots of genetic diversity between them and we have seen about 13% higher growth rate ("hybrid vigor") when crossing the two strains, and the offspring are still 100% pure NZW.
We are the very first small scale, ARBA Registered Rabbitry in our small town which is located deep in the heart of the Adirondack mountains. My husband Matthew & I are dedicated to the breeding & raising of Champagne d'Argent, Creme d'Argent & Standard Rex rabbits for luxurious show rabbits, loving affectionate pets & wholesome meat for the family.

Our rabbitry began in May 2021 after moving to Tennessee (in the snow), to enjoy the "Homestead Life" after retirement. What started out as two New Zealand mutt rabbits soon grew quickly! The does do a fantastic job keeping us busy building more grow-out cages! We recently acquired nine more New Zealands and Chinchillas and gearing up for a prolific Spring and Summer! We keep our rabbits off the ground, in individual cages for their protection and health. They're fed a good diet of pellets, oats, and hay and in return, give us plenty of great fertilizer!
